The
History of Chocolate Graphics The company has grown from a small cottage based industry in 1996, to a global commercial venture in 2003. Chocolate Graphics currently market their unique Patent protected products and manufacturing process world-wide, utilising the Licensing / Franchising "channel of distribution". An Australian, Gold Coast based inventor originally conceived the Chocolate Graphics process in 1988. His method was crude and extremely slow. Unfortunately no positive marketing action was adopted until 1996 when three local businessmen purchased the "rights". In July 1999 the Patents, applications and manufacturing rights were taken over by Chocolate Graphics International (CGI), a company with marketing experience both in Australia and overseas. At the time CGI purchased Chocolate Graphics, the business was in need of experienced expertise in marketing to develop the original concepts into a marketable product. A strategic focus and innovative marketing strategies were introduced together with a restructuring program, to ensure the future company became a profitable entity. This was achieved by rebuilding the technology and redeveloping the intellectual property, including the registration of Australian and International patents. Since that time the
process has been significantly upgraded to incorporate state of the art
"computerised laser and automated technology".
